Scald the milk. Add shortening, salt, and sugar, then cool to lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in warm water (110-115º). Add milk, shortening, salt and sugar mixture to the water and yeast. Then add 3 cups of flour and beat until smooth. Add more flour until dough is easy to handle. Turn on floured surface and knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and cover to let rise for an hour or until doubled in size. Then divide dough and shape two loaves and place in 2 greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 425º for 30-35 min.
