Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 2 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter – melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 6 cups flour +/-
  • Cinnamon/Sugar Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup butter – softened
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup nuts (optional)
  • Frosting:

  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup half & half milk (add 1 to 2 Tbsp. more)
  • 2 to 3 cups powdered sugar (add until right consistency)

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dissolve water and yeast together until bubbly. Add sugar, butter, eggs, salt and beat. Add flour until smooth. Continue adding flour until it becomes a soft dough. Knead on a floured surface. Let rise until doubled. Punch down and roll out dough into a jelly roll. Cover with softened butter. Combine sugar, cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle over dough. Sprinkle nuts over dough, if desired. Roll up dough starting from long side and seal sides. Cut into 1” thick slices. Arrange in a greased baking sheet. Let rise until doubled. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden.

    Combine ingredients for frosting and beat to a thickness of paint. Frost rolls.
